German cemeteries

Hallo All,

   There are one or two cemeteries in Allenstein itself which still have
   German graves. However, a rather large Evangelical cemetery on Wojska
   Polskiego (Adolf-Hitler Allee) was 'moved' some years ago. I don't
   know if the stones still exist (I shall ask). There is now a monument
   saying it was once a cemetery. In many of the villages there are still
   German graves but many are impossible to read. In some villages where
   the population were mainly German speaking it is possible to find
   German language graves upto 1960's-70's.

Hello Trev,

I am looking for the grave of Stephan BRAUER, who died in Allenstein in 1913. He was Catholic. Perhaps you could tell me if you should happen to step over him.
