All that has been said merely demonstrates that one cannot generalize from such limited data. That is why I try to always look for the good explanation of any event. Life is so much pleasanter that way, and I am way too old for any great unpleasantness. I do not hide from the uglier things in life, but neither do I seek them out. Putting "the best construction on everything" has led me down the right path more often than not, and that includes my genealogical researches.
