I would appreciate any information that can be provided on Gerhard Wolke born in Bohmte, Germany. He emigrated to US arriving on ship Admiral in Baltimore on 14 June 1860 at age 23 (based on other records believe Gerhard was actually age 26 at time of emigration not 23) destined for Cincinnati, Ohio with wife Marie age 29. His children birth records in Cincinnati indicate he was born in Bohmte. He was of the Catholic faith.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you gotten the Catholic church records from Bohmte? Do you know if
it's in the Osnabrück or Münster diocese?
If it's in Osnabrück, here's the website with information about getting the
sacramental information (including the e-mail address). They're very
helpful (they found my ancestors' records from Meppen and Haselünne). They
charge a small fee and will let you know what it is.

If you need sacramental information from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati,
you're going to have to wait until at least next fall. Their archive
office has been closed for almost 2 years. However, if you know which
church your ancestor went to, you may be able to get the information
directly from that parish.
