Hi Betty ...

I presume you were not randomly searching for your ancestors when you found
this list, or were you? I ask because I do not know how you found it.

Generally speaking, one who is searching for ancestors overseas must
understand those who are overseas will probably not speak the same language
as those who are searching from this side of the "pond." If this is too much
a problem (I do not speak German myself, but do take the time to learn as
much of it as I can by daily reading mail from this list, asking questions ..
which are good-naturedly answered almost all the time ... and learning as I
go along).

That being said, the means of unsubscribing from this list is clearly stated
IN ENGLISH on the website where you signed up to be on this list.

I've never "unsubscribed," but I would expect those who wish to do so would
read the instructions on the website where they had earlier "subscribed."
This frees the VOLUNTEERS from not having to manually delete you from the
list (I hope you understand that they are busy collecting data, giving out
information, maintaining websites, having a life, etc. I'm sure you do, I
was just making sure there were no misunderstandings)
