Hello to All,
I am Jean Kosisher Snyder from Colorado USA originally from Luzerne Pa
I am researching my Great Grandparents. On a death certificate I found that my Great grandmothers name was
Susanna Muller or something close to that because the document was blurred. Her husband, my Great Grandfather was
Leopold (Lucas) Kosisher but I know the last name has been messed up.
They had three children that I know of.There was Leopold ( my Grandfather) and daughters Mary and Agnes.
On census records, it shows they immigrated about 1882 to Luzerne, Pa
All documents I find show they came either from Germany or Austria but to no avail ,I cannot find a town or city from where they originated .I do not know when my Great grandmother died, but my great grandfather died in 1933. His son, Leopold my grandfather preceeded him in 1923. My grandfather was born on/or about 1872. He married Elizabeth Stilp in 1895. Her family originated form Heltersburg, Germany.
I had other sugestions from a Mr. Muller and this is my response to him:
Thank you Mr Muller for the information. I will attempt an inquiry to Tyrol and the state archives in Innsbruck. In my research I found a Leopold Kocher and Maria Mueller from Ramingstein, Salzburg Austria. and a Lucas Kusznier, from Zupanie,Stry, Galizien Kroenlande, Austria. If anyone has any information concerning these individuals , it would be greatly appreciated. These names are the closest to my maiden name Kosisher that I have found. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
