What is FHL film that Peggy had ordered?? Our these the Mormon records?

FHL stands for Family History Library. Yes, they are the genealogical
repository for the Mormon or Church of Latter Day Saint microfilmed records
and book collection. Their website is:
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp
microfilmed records can be ordered for a small fee for delivery to local
area Family History Libraries/Centers, usually located at churches.
Click on Family History Centers to locate ones near you. You do not have
to be a member of the church to use their library and we have never been
approached about joining the church when using their library. They do have
a wonderful collection of records including many small German community
parish records. My wife has found 2 of her German ancestor family records
with some struggling for reading the German and the handwriting. She
recommends people take a course in German genealogy research which includes
German handwriting analysis.
