The father of John Fries is Johann Fries *06.12.1861 Wittersheim/Germany

I didn't know the mother of John H.

The 1920 Indiana, U. S. A., census shows a John Fries who is 33 years old, born in Kentucky, & his parents are from Germany. His wife is Sylvia, age 32 born in Kentucky. He has a daughter Velma who is 8 years old. A daughter Lydia who is 5 years old. And a son John H. who is 10 months old. John is renting his home. He is working as a foreman on Dam 39. This means that he is working for the U. S corps of Engineers who were responsible for the construction of any dams.
