This is the message I receive when I try to go to http://ofb.genealogy.net.
If you are seeing this message, you have not changed your index.html file.
What is an index html file? How do I change it? Lois
First "index.html":
This is not YOUR responsibility, this file is standard file you get from an web server isf you donŽt tell him what file you really want, e.g.:
You try
you get:
http://ofb.genealogy.net\index.html
(or exactly: one of configured standard files).
This is to do by the server admins of that side you are looking at. Once more not your job!
What I do not understand is:
If YOU get this answer and others donŽt - this sounds a bit strange.
Only one idea:
delete your browser cache (for internet explorer: menu tools/internet options/delete temporary internet files)
Then try to reload the URL
May be it helps...
Tried it but it still says the same thing. It is a red screen. The message is written in German first at the top and then in English at the bottom. Lois

First "index.html":
The index.html is ok, but not so the index.htm - this leads to
http://www.online-ofb.de/index.htm
which says:
"Hier entsteht demnchst eine neue Internetprsenz mit SERVER4YOU vSERVER
If you see this page after uploading site content you probably have not
replaced the index.html file."
Simply delete the index.htm so that the index.html may be picked
automatically.

Lois,
I do not know what browser you use, but as you may have seen in the the other mails this:
http://ofb.genealogy.net redirects you to http://www.online-ofb.de
and apparently somewhere in your configuration your browser is set to look first on a new server for *index.htm* and maybe next for *index.html*
so in this case you load
http://www.online-ofb.de/index.htm which is the red page.
Try http://www.online-ofb.de/index.html
and you should be fine.
And someone from genealogy.net should fix the index.htm file
Regards
Andreas

Ha-ha You have a good sense of humor, but it doesn't solve the problem.

It's not your part to delete the file, but Uwe's...
But you can pick the correct one to show you the page:
you should use: http://ofb.genealogy.net which should lead to
http://ofb.genealogy.net/index.html - if for some unknown reasons your
browser leads you to http://ofb.genealogy.net/index.htm when calling the
first address, then try the second one directly. Only the third is wrong.
