just go to
http://wiki-en.genealogy.net/wiki/Sandbox
(be sure that you logged in at wiki-en)
click on "edit" in the top menu.
enter [[User:Eric]]
go down
"Save changings"
then you see the changes sandbox-page. You could then click on "User:Eric" and you get to my user page.
Same you could do with your .. but its empty at the moment.
Ok?
Regards
Eric
Hi Sally,
if I write you should go to sandbox, you may should do that. The [[User:.....]] doesnt make sense on your own page. The "step 1" is confusing, right?
Thats why I wrote to use sandbox or link to other userpages.
Ok?
Regards
Eric
Hi Sally,
maybe Eric's answer needs a little more explanation..
Yes, you are doing fine with "[[User:Sally]]".
But keep in mind, when you start a new line with
an empty space, the following entry will be in a
"dotted lined box" by itself as you can see.
Also your "[[User:Sally]]" does NOT show up as a link,
because it is already on the User:Sally WIKI page
and it really doesn't make sense to set a link to itself..
However, if you use "[[User:Sally]]" on any other
WIKI page, it will show up as a link...
Does this make sense to you ??
Just give it a try... and add some more text to your page..
Have fun,
Wolf
