anyone has come across the names below since my last posting a few
years ago, I will try again.

pat did not indicate if she was looking for Jacob after 1870 or for
his
origins in Germany. As she wrote to this list I assume she is looking
for
origins. There are a number Jacob Moessners/Meisners in the IGI many in
Baden

In answer to the above question I asked.....any info as to origins in
Baden , Bavaria- Germany before 1850 IF it is the same one as I am
looking for........or any info as to where Jacob may have been after
the 1860 Genessee Co was take would be found with Franciska his wife.
I have checked the whole Genessee Co census for 1870 and since I
couln'd tfind him there anad also looked for reported deaths and didn't
find him, thought a slim possibility maybe someone else may see what I
couldn't, or possibly overlooked.
AS to the 1900 US census I knew, Franciska was found there in NJ
living next door to her son August and his wife and family. Franciska,
is listed as widow along with her daugther Elizabeth lewis ( a
widow)and grandson John in their own home. Just cannot find Franciska
or any of the family between 1870 and 1900.. According to family info
the name was spelled MESSNER..however in pronouciation or the way the
census taker took it /heard it, may have been spelled
differently........... does that clear confusion?

I have tried to help pat in previous messages and have replied to pat
off list; I have no more to say on this subject.
