Genealogical researcher

I am in the process of researching my husband's family history (Durels and Brancard), who came from the Holssel, Midlum, Misselwarden areas and need someone to research parish records, etc for those areas in Germany. If you can suggest someone for me to contact, please advise.

Thanks.

Hi Sharon:

The towns you mentioned are between Bremmerhaven and
Cuxhaven, which is not too far north of Bremen, where Jens
Mller-Koppe lives.

He can be reached at: hrs@hist.de
(email).

His URL is: http://www.hist.de

I believe that there are others on the list who would recommend him. Another plus is that travel expenses should be taken into consideration and I belive he is within a reasonable distance of the towns you mentioned. I did not confirm the mileage, so I could be wrong about distance.

I am sure others on the list will provide additional information.

Hi Sharon,

Have you looked at the records that the LDS have in that area? If you
are near a LDS center, you can order the films and view them there.

Kirchenbuch, 1715-1852 Evangelisch-Reformierte Kirche Holssel (Kr. Lehe)

Kirchenbuch, 1715-1852 Evangelische Kirche Midlum (Kr. Lehe)

Kirchenbuch, 1715-1852 Evangelische Kirche Misselwarden (Kr. Lehe)

The LDS also list a book which would probably be useful to you. They do not
have it on film though. It is:
    Die Einwohner von Misselwarden, 1680-1900
     Hinners, Hans-Joachim

Translated, the title is Genealogy of the inhabitants of Misselwarden,
Hannover, Germany.

Good luck in your search,
Barbara

Hi Gale,

I came across Jens Muller-Koppe's name some time ago, and in fact, I emailed him, but never received a response.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Sharon
