auf genealogische Inhalte hin-
weist. Denn nur solche Mails werden von mir an die Listen verschickt.

eben eine inhaltlich gleiche Warnung von anderer Seite in der Hannover-Liste - ich habe das auch schon erlebt mit meiner Email-Adresse. Was lernt uns das? Dass Spamfilter, die nur mit sog. Black- und Whitelists arbeiten, absoluter Humbug sind. In die Bewertung einer Email muss sowohl die Header-Info als auch der Text eingeschlossen werden. Gutes Beispiel: der lernf�hige Filter, der in Thunderbird implementiert ist, der nix kostet und keinen Eigenwerbungs-Spam produziert - ich kriege keine Prozente 
W�r' interessant zu erfahren, ob mein Filter deine gef�lschte Mail als solche erkennt...

Dear Manfred,
Some time back I recieved a piece of spam mail to my mail box.
To my surprize this piece of spam appeared as if I had generated the mail.
The address was identical to my own except for FORTMAT........
The spam mail lacked the capitol letter that is part of my email address.
AND......
The reply address was another totally different address.
I'm not positive but I think this situation is called a PHISHING SCAM.
Because my mail filter is configured to reject any mail originating from an address I have not authorized...
I check the junk folder on occassion to make sure legitimate mail isn't junked.....
And this is how I discovered that a high-jacked version of my email address was being used to solicit VIAGRA.
I reported the situation to my email provider.
My junk filter asks for approval before mail is download and warns of potentially hazardous mail.
I have noted that seemingly safe mail that is not safe will always include two email address.
There is "sender" address which appears in list of incoming mail.
BUT...
There is "REPLY TO" address which is always different from the "sender" address in scam mail.
If the "reply" address doesn't match the "sender" or is unfamiliar to you...
Do Not Open that mail.
The spam return addresses look ODD.
Using Windows Life Hotmail you can filter all unauthorized "friends" to automatically be junked.... you can check the junk without downloading the mail ... in case legitimate mail is accidently junked....
With this filter it is easy to see the difference between legitimate mail and spam.
Another thing you can do I think... is right click the email address before you open the mail and try to determine it's origin. If it looks like gibberish... It's probobly spam.... Well thats what I do anyhow...
