From Rehlingen to Murdock, Cass county Nebraska. Schlaphoff and Luman/ attn. Al Otte

Thank you for your interest,

Al Otte,
I have always remembered three villages that the family Schlaphof stem from. I hope my mind has not deceived me. Raven, Westergellersen and Rehlingen. They have gone to Murdock, Cass county, Nebraska.
I guess the story is that a daughter went there as a Mail order bride. When she got there she found the man to be very old and would not marry him. And so she married someone else. Her friend came with and married the older man. I think the name of the man might be Luitjen.
I have written to Ms. Martens of this tree. And so any information I have was done by her father. I found them mainly from checking through cemeteries. Her family also goes to Martin county... with Theobold. also. Maybe Laue.
If you click on the side of my blog where it says July I believe the picture of those Luman/Schlaphof[f] appear at the top. Their statistics are on their picture.

My Heins descended with Koch and Winkelmann. I have proof now that mine, the Winkelman near Muden are connected with the Dageforde family. [no it's not on the blog yet] [soon I hope] they connect with my Winkelmann/Heins. There are several places they settled. At one time they had a site on net called Lewisville.com.[Texxas] Then every evidence of their tree disappeared. Now they have a book which I do not know how to get??? But there is this website. anyway.

Dagefoerde=Some went to Palo, Miami Kansas. and some to Bruning Nebraska. And Hebron, Nebraska. There was a Eric Meyer son of Henry Meyer who married a Dageforde woman [ I say all this of top of my head with out facts in front of me....sorry] who also lived for a time where the one Dageforede family lived for a time at Calhoun county, Iowa. I think by Jolley or Pomeroy. You can find this information in Calhoun book through google reader. free. The Dagefoerdes and Dagevors. I believe that the family that settled in Calhoun had a member named Carl. He had some in formation written by a Bernhard Dageforde about the family. Yup it has disappeared. the closest you can get is following the trees of Meyerhof and Hohls information on line

milwaukee also mention of the book.of Bernhard.

Dagefoerde at Hebron , NE.so. Dagefordes had publishing company for many years.

The Henry meyer family lived in Illinois before this Calhoun county, iowa area. The Dageforede families can be found at Tazewell and Peoria. Some have gone to washington or Oregon , California, and Canada. Some to Wi. When coming to usa, Some came in the missionary way. Others had to go to Wi area to learn more ministry. And some had to go to Mo to learn more. There were a few in Antrim Watonwan county, Minnesota. See the tree of Struss where a daughter married Mueller-- Julius Mueller was Pastor in this area covering a very wide area...He also was in Wi. He was at Lester Prairie in Minnesota. Also present in area were Rehwinkel or Mohwinkle.

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:3303632&id=I18839[do a descendency you get Dickman, Wohlrabe and Hoppe] go back in time you get Behrens,Bockelman, Mohwinkel from Mueden area where my Heins relatives were. Winkelman from Sultingen. Heins/ Henke of Kreutzen bei Munster and also of Mueden Oertze. And the Koch of mine were at Belsen.

The people of this area lost their land for military purposes[ bernhard Dagefordes book states this]and so the family went to east germany. One lady said across the elbe river before world war 1 or 2 . It may be why many of the surnames they were involved with came to my area. I think i may have seen the dageforede name in Dannenberg area of by Hitzacker. Somehow the Winkelman- Heins ended at Oldendorf renting. Though I haven't proved the Winkelman I have found there are mine yet.

**See wilhlem Meyer, a hausler who labored at Gut Horn geb 1843 md Maria Dorothea Heins of Oldendorf. Her relationship stemmed through winkelman to Dagefoerde and or name Dagevor. They came together on ship Frisia in april 1884. Two other unknown Meyer age 17 Henry and age 18 Herman Meyer came along went unkown place???]

The Behrens and Brockman sooner or later lead one to Twisselhop. [see archives postings for my old posting which was not much]I do not know if Behrens of Fairmont are the same as these. And do not think they are the same as mine at Neetzendorf.
so that simply but long is how I tie to Nebraska. Illinois [ do not forget Joliet illinois],Iowa, Minnesota,Ohio,Mo.
contact me off line for further info if you wish.

All surnames in Bergen Celle, I have ties to also. Gralheer, Brammer, Stradtman, Brase, Ties, Kothe, Hohls, Meyerhof, vonderBreiling, von Hoersten, Alms, Arens,Warnecke, Hoyer, etc.

YOu find ties of Kothe to Dageforde. Dagefoerde to Heur.
We need to take an interest in Bergman surname. [some at Neetzendorf and Himbergen uelzen]

I have Brookman with Seil and Schmidt at Dahlenburg. but I do not know if this Brockman, Brookman tie to Celle. But I had a man contact me once who has some same names that Jonas online of Dahlenburg has in his tree. But this man also had the name Meyerhof. And that Meyerhof tied to those of Feistel Tree.= Bergen Celle. Now Jonas also has von der Oh and a lot of Otte.!! So I would not be surprised at all where he connects to these..... Let me also say that I noticed something while posting all this for you that could be of interest. that Dagefordes may have something with Krause surname of Paul Behmke tree who has same names as someone else who has Dageforde mentioned. His Meyer and other names of Reedsburg area tie to Jonas Tree [ Dircks, Quast, Luhman, of Goodhue and Wabasha areas of Mn. His Meyer, Raetzman, Oetzmann, ties to Himbergen area of Uelzen.[Molzen, Oitzendorf, oetzendorf and Oetzen and Tatendorf or oer There are ties to Otte there as well. Heinrich Porths book.

The Julius Mueller of Martin and Watonwan county, Minnesota had origination in Himbergen Uelzen area. Tree is on world connect. I told her about the book, but she has not told me of her results in obtaining it. So??.

Let me add one final thing. Eventually I will find out why Aden or Eden has been in every area that Dageforede has been. I vaguely recall a marriage to Eden....but will have to find those papers in my many boxes! Aden also in same areas of Nebraska.

I have no proof yet that Pastor Eric Meyer is the same one that was at Lewisville, Minnesota in the days of my grandfather attendence at that church. I have a little list of some members in years 1918 +.
Of particular interest is the name Bluhm {tie to Seil and Luhmann, Gehrke??]

I hope this has helped a little. I have mentioned families of mine in Nebraska.

* there is a family in I think Thayer, Nebraska that come from Reedsburg wi. Who originally came from Oldendorf, Nahrendorf
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=bd310328&id=I101
Meyer/ Behn of Dahlenburg/Oldendorf/ Nahrendorf area of Hannover
And I cannot get started anymore on this.
I really have to get going on putting my Heins ties online.
Thanks for the interest.

Al, Ps.I think the two families had been in Illinois before this. I have two places in Illinois that the Dagefordes settled.
Maybe through ancestry or Heritage quest. But definately google reader for Calhoun book.
I am not sure how far columbus is. I also had Cummings/Rowe/Meyer in Beatrice Gage county, Nebraska . [And Ritterling [Seil]spread to nebraska from Wyoming]Hope I helped some. need to check on name 'Young'[http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=SHOW&db=diane_decker&recno=27953]

I would love to know more of your tree. I can do some lookups in Himbergen for you. there seems to be many ties to Molze, Tatendorf, Oetzdorf or something like that. jo Meyer
