This is my first posting to the list, so please excuse the English.
I am looking for information about my g-g-g-grandfather whose name was
Frederick Augustus Kage. He served in the Jaeger Corps during the
American Revolution and afterward settled in Louisville, Kentucky. He
changed the spelling of his name to Kaye and it is now pronounced as
Koy. His occupation was listed as a shoemaker when he took the American
oath of allegiance in 1782 and he continued that work after he moved to
Louisville. In a German military record his home is listed as Eisleben
and he was probably born around 1750.
