Dear List,
Does anyone know how to use FOKO? I did search on the surname FELDHAUS which I am researching and had some hits that I chose and then an email response from them.
This is what it said:
Dies ist eine automatisch erstellte eMail, die Ihnen aufgrund einer Abfrage in der FOKO-Datenbank ( http://foko.genealogy.net ) zugeschickt wurde.
Hier die gewuenschte Adressinformation:
BLa5108
Hans Joachim Hanses
Kurat-Frank-Strae 20
D - 87600 Kaufbeuren
Feldhaus von 1800 bis 1856 in Haselnne
Am I to write to this person? Or is there an online database of somesort? Unfortunately I don't read/write German so am lost as to what I am supposed to do with this information or what it means.
Thankyou for you help.

After you search for the surname in FOKO, you will get a list of surnames,
locations and an ID with a box next to the id (right side of screen). Check
each box you are interested in getting the information regarding the
researcher. The blue arrow at the bottom right will continue you to the
next page. When the blue arrow disappears, and you are finished. Click on
the Grey button where the blue arrow was. A new screen will appear. Scroll
down .. the long field is for your email address. If you are going to do
more searches, check the box (can't remember if it is above or below) and it
will remember your email address for the session. It will email the results
.. the researchers name, address, phone and/or email id if they have entered
one. It takes about 1/2 hour to receive the email.
To go back and search more, click on the top word on the left .. suche, I
believe and start over.
