Flemme-Ehlers

Hello Debbie,
You didn't give any dates. None of my direct family migrated to America.

I have now looked through my files and have only found one mention of the
name you are looking for. This person is amongst a list of names given to
me by an archivist during my search for a “Conrad Ehlers” who migrated to
England but I have no connection with the “Conrad Ehlers” family listed
below who I believe migrated to the Americas :-

Children of the married couple Ehlers/Vogelsang:

Johann Conrad Ehlers geb 18.01.1829 in Steinlah (KBF 1685 P. 64 NR.1)

Christine Dorothee Henriette Ehlers, geb 20 August 1831.

August Friedrich Adolphe Heinrich Ehlers, geb 9 December 1834

Ernst Conrad Ehlers, geb 6 January 1838

Parents of the above children:

Johann *Daniel Ehlers*, service farmhand, and Marie Dorothee Eleonore
Ehlers geb Vogelsang, Steinlah who married 29 November 1830 in Steinlah
(KBF 1683 P.20 NR.5)

Groom: Johann Daniel Ehlers, Haeusling, geb 28 February 1800, single

Bride: Marie Dorothee Eleonore Vogelsang, geb 6 September 1802, single.

Parents of the bridegroom: Conrad Ehlers, Haeusling and Kuhhirt in
Ohlendorf, deceased.

Parents of the Bride: Johann Hennig Vogelsang, Haeusling, deceased,
Steinlah.

Rena

Hi Rena,
My ancestor Dorothea Ehlers from Hannover ended up in Chicago, IL.
Any of your ancestors migrate there?
Debbie Yamamoto

Thank you anyway, Rena. My Dorothea, probably born in the 1930's and emigrated to Chicago in the 1850's or 1860's. Her father's name may be Albert, but I have no docs to verify that, only a family member who wrote that on her death certificate. Will keep on looking.
Regards, Debbie
