No, I live in Texas. Born & raised in Minnesota.
Grandfather, John Peter Claussen's sister Margareta Claussen Koch,
lived in Davenport, Iowa most of her married life. She married in 1877
and died 1937.

for information about your John Peter Claussen. No
one has suggested looking for the church records for
his children's baptismal or confirmation records. I
believe I read that you were going to Minnesota soon.
You should try to find which church the family went to
in Minnesota. Often the name of the town the parents
were born in were included in the baptismal and/or
confirmation records. Also if you can find where John
Peter Claussen was married, the church records may
give you more information than a marriage license or
death certificate. Try also the church records for
his sister's children and brother's children. The old
German ministers often included such information in
the church records.
