Finding great-grandfather

Hi
John Peter Claussen, born July 9, 1849 in Germany, married Catharina
Maria Kroeger, born December 21, 1860 in Puls,
Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on July 26, 1883 in Rock Island, Rock Island
County, Illinois. They moved to Minnesota in
1884 and lived on a farm in Elm Creek Township, Martin County, Minnesota.
They had four children.
John Peter was working in a sawmill at the time of their marriage in
Illinois. They did come from Holstein, not Hanover (sorry).
John Peter died June 8, 1931 at Welcome, Martin, Minnesota. Catharina
died May 21, 1915 at Sherburn, Martin, Minnesota.

Margarite Claussen was born August 27, 1847 and married Adolf Koch and
lived in Davenport, Scott county, Iowa. I found
her in the Iowa Census; also her obituary, which wasn't very helpful.

Emma Claussen was married to a Henry Schran and in 1926 was living in El
Reno, Oklahoma at the home of an Eva Ziegler,
according to a letter sent to my parents. Don't know if Henry was living
yet or not, as could not find him in any census.

Haven't been able to find when they immigrated, so don't know for sure
when they came.

As far as I've been able to find out, the parents did not come over.

Edith
