The long shot continues! I''ve ancestors for Gehrde 5 miles from Holdorf.
Gehard Trimpe amd his wife Elisa Wiebold Trimpe came to Cinn. by way of New
Orleans in 1850. In 1856 they homesteaded in Iowa. Other Trimpes also came
through and lived in Cinn. before settling elsewhere.
This book about Holdorf sounds like must reading.
