FamilytreeMaker, Please help

Liebe Listenmitglieder,
mein hochbetagter Computer hat immer mehr Abstuerze, und ich wuerde gerne
meine in Familytreemaker version 7 gesammelten Daten, oder noch besser, das
ganze Programm samt der Daten irgendwo sichern. Leider habe ich nicht
herausfinden koennen, welche files Programmfiles sind und welche die Daten
beinhalten. Es gibt jede Menge files und folders auf meinem Computer, die
das Programm als "FTM" bezeichnet hat.
Kann jemand bitte helfen?

Dear list members,
my ancient computer keeps crashing on me, and I would dearly like to back up
all my ancestral data collected in Familytreemaker version 7 as well as the
whole program if that is possible. Unfortunately, I am not able to discern
which are program files, and which are my data. There is a whole bunch of
files and folders on my computer all named "FTM" by the program.
Can somebody please help?

Hi, Petra.

In the Family Tree Maker directory, you should
see files with the following extensions:

*.FBC
*.FBK
*.FTW

Those should be your data files.

Hope this helps.

The main program file should have a .exe extension. However, there may be
associated files, such as .dll files or others, that the program needs in
order to operate.
