Hi Liste and specially people looking for family rooths with the family
name "Lücke"!
My name is Tuulikki Suikkanen-ter Weele. I'm from Finland but now living in
the Netherlands with my dutch husband.
I have been busy with my family rooths ab 5- years. One branch of my family
goes back to Germany, Westfalen Preussi. To be more precicly my mother's
greatgrandfather game from Germany via St. Petersburg (Russia) to Finland.
His name was Frans Josef Lücke.
What I know about him so far:
- he was born in 1834 in Preussi
- on some point he married - I think - already before his move to Finland -
in Germany. POSSIBLE the name of his first wife was Maria Sommer
- his parents were - POSSIBLE: Catharina Margaretha Scheiffers and Johannes
Lücke (or Joannes)
- the couple married 21.8.1821 in Peckelsheim, Westfalen
- his siblings were POSSIBLE: Joannes Henricus, b. 1822, Johann Fransiscus,
b. 1824, Friderica Theresia, b. 1826 and Andreas, b. 1829
- In finnisch records he was mentioned to be a widow and a roman-katholic
and from Preussi.
- he married a finish lutheran girl being a widow
- they had in Finland 7 children
- he was in glassindustrie
- he died in Russia, in St. Petersburg, after leaving his second family
behind in Finland
My probleem is:
- how can I be sure, that my Frans Josef actually is a child of Catharina
and Johannes??
- after checking *a lot of records *I noticed that in many cases there is a
mentioning of religion. Is it possible that a "katholic" could have been
written down as a "roman-catholic"??
- when and why did Frans Josef moved to Finland?
I did found in my mother's archives a picture of Frans Josef Lücke and a
woman. On the back side of this picture was written: "Frans Josef and his
first wife". Does anybody know when people in Germany started to take
pictures of themselves?
Any response would be nice
