This is my first time posting so I hope I am doing it right. I would like to find my great grandfather's family in Germany and perhaps my great grandmother's as well. Here are the facts that I know:
Charles Gustav Ludwig(s)
born 25 Mar 1832 in Oldenburg, Germany
came to US around 1855. I found a ship with is name and the age fit. It was the Julius. He ended up in Lexington, Missouri where he is buried. He was a watchmaker there.
Catherine Welz
born 6 Apr 1837 Bavaria
died 3 Apr 1894
I found a ship that had her name on it that came over in 1856 at age 19 which fits. Ship- Humboldt
They were married in March of 1858 in Lexington.
If there is any information out there, I would appreciate having it. I love doing and finding information on my ancestors.
