I am in the posession of photocopy of an extract from an official archive in Kl. Katz. The extract is dated 1938 and gives information of the baptism of Gustav Ferdinand Burau, son of Johann Michael Burau and his wife Eva v. Rabakowsky. The baptism took place on 1st January 1953. I would dearly love to find out more. I believe Kl. Katz is in the Danzig Karthaus region. The family was postestant (evangelisch)
I am planning to visit Poland with polish friends from London possibly this sommer.
I have a strong hunch that Johann Michael Burau was of Hugenot origin and might have been known as Jean Michel Bureau.
