I write to you both....and the lists....
Can you tell us where in the USA each of your BODE families settled....
And their occupations when they arrived.....
or what they were doing in about 1845-50...
I am interested in the BODE family in particular,
because I have found a BODE group
just to the west of our township - Schaumburg Township, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
While I HAVE NO information on this family group,
I do know that we have a road through the western portion of the township named BODE ROAD
and it ends at just about where there was a mill of some type.
THe Road, I believe was plated in 1848 - (il-cook-sch archives have the actual date) and
still remains for quite a distance.
Can you please give some information or comment on my writings above...
