Hallo,
Nachdem ich die Piraten-Liste" entdeckt und mich dort just for fun" angemeldet habe, kam mir der Gedanke, dass mir dort oder auf einer der anderen Listen, jemand bei der Suche nach der Herkunft unseres Wappens behilflich sein könnte.
Das Wappen zeigt in Silber einen Totenkopf und gekreuzte Knochen auf blauem Grund.
Der älteste mir Bekannte Träger des Wappens lebte 1712 in Wismar/Mecklenburg. Mir wurde berichtet, dass damals nachgewiesen werden konnte, dass unsere Familie dieses Wappen bereits über 500 (!) Jahre geführt habe.
Als ich vor einigen Jahren Urlaub in der Tschechei machte, habe ich dort die Ruine Hasenstein besucht (sie befindet sich zwischen der Stadt Chomutov und der böhmisch-sächsischen Grenze). An der Zufahrt zur Burg befindet sich ein Grenzstein, der unser Familienwappen mit der Jahreszahl 1742 zeigt.
Kann mir jemand sagen, welche böhmische oder sächsische Familie ebenfalls dieses Wappen führt? Gibt es dort noch HAUPT's mit Beziehungen nach Mecklenburg oder Pommern (der älteste mir bekannte Vorfahre ist Elisäus Haupt, * ~1560 in Arnswalde/Neumark)?

Some weeks ago, I have found the pirates-list and then I have got the hope, that there (or at another list) is someone who can help me to find information about our coat of arms.
The coat of arms shows a silver skull and crossed bones on a blue ground.
The oldest owner of this coat of arms lived in 1712 in Wismar/Mecklenburg. Oral history says that our family has the ownership of this coat of arms since the 12th century.
Some years ago I stayed in the Czech Republic and visited there Hasenstein castle (near the town Chomutov and the border between Bohemia and Saxony). Near the way to the castle is a boundary stone which shows our coat of arms and the date 1742.
Do you know if there are a family (bohemian or saxonian) with a coat of arms like ours?
Do you know if there are a HAUPT family with connections to Mecklenburg or Pommerania (my oldest ancestor is Elisa:us Haupt, born abt. 1560 in Arnswalde/Neumark)?
