das Staatsarchiv in Oppeln hat mir vor kurzem mitgeteilt, dass dort die evangelischen KB von Böhmischdorf (Czeska Wieś) aus den Jahren 1794-1864 liegen.

Warum nicht gleich so? Die heutigen Lagerstellen der alten Kirchen- und Zivilstands-B�cher Schlesiens finden Sie auf:
so auch Heinzendorf Kreis Neisse.
Da das KB von Patschkau ja als Film vorliegt, wo ist das Problem?

stimmt die Jahresangabe 1864 oder ist es eventuell ein Schreib/Übermittlungsfehler ? Auf PRADZIAD sowie in "Kirchenbücher u. Standesamtsregister in polnischen Staatsarchiven" ist als letzter verfügbarer Jahrgang 1844 angegeben.

I am looking for the birth records of my aunt and mother.
My aunt -- Ingeborg Steinbrich -- was born in Posen Oct 1917 to Steinbrich (Gustav Adolph(?)) and his wife Sophie (nee Hess). It may have been recorded as a military birth as my grandfather was with the Prussian military as a junior officer at the time.
My mother -- Ursula Anamarie Emma Steinbrich -- was born 11 May 1919 in Liegnitz to the same couple. This may either be hospital birth or an at home delivery(?) as my mother is not certain.

As the birth is less than 100 years ago you should be able to get the required information from the civil register office in Legnica. Contact details can be found on the following web page:

I read that in the past you would just get information about the child and the parents, but when I was there in person last month they just made a photocopy of the entry I was interested in which then might contain additional information and also eliminates transcription errors.
In general I believe that in 1919 the majority of births would still happen at home rather than in hospital.

I have received a reply from the civil records office in Liegnitz re: Ursula Steinbrich. They indicate that the records from 1919 are not available -- missing. I was wondering if maybe a church record of some sort is available in the archives of the evangelical churches of the area???

Howard needs an entry from 1919 though. If you have a closer look at the
individual microfilms the LDS offers
(FamilySearch Catalog: Kirchenbuch, 1558-1957 — FamilySearch.org)
you can see that baptisms (Taufen) are only covering up to 1866 (film
890893), and then again from 1937 (film 490443).
