ESER and KEHLENBRINK of Schlochtern

I have just aquired some new info for my research and I need some expert help!!!

I have a Caroline ESER born 1822 in Schlochtern, Hoyel whose parents are William ESER and Catherine KEHLENBRINK, I am wondering where is is SCHLOCHTERN ? And any info on these surname.
Caroline married to Ernest Heinrich PAPENBAUM in 1844 Hoyel.

Hello Lynelle,

    Schloctern is in the Melle area. Hoyel is there as well. I cannot find
Schloctern in my Autoatlas of Germany, probably because it is too small.
You may want to look at this website and it will list the towns in the
Melle district:

    http://www.literad.de/regional/melle.html

There are two Schlochterns listed there for some reason--one with
Sondermühlen and the other Wellingholzhsn.

Considering of the umlaut-problems, I thought of SCHL�CHTERN and SCHLUCHTERN,
both a bit more south of Lower-Saxony-area, but looking on the spread of
your reserached names, your KEHLENBRINK are spread mostly in the area of B�NDE
and there are still only three PAPENBAUM, all of them are in MELLE. So the place
SCHlochtern should be probably in this region MELLE / B�NDE. One should keep the
both other named in mind. Greetings Hans Peter Albers
