English vs. German

My wife knows some German and myself almost none. I use Google translate
when needed but it is not very good. So if the German speakers can use
English that is likely to work better. Just my opinion.

My wife and I have many German lines, some we know where from, others not.
I have several in the Hannover area: from Clausthal-Zellerfeld and Goslar.

PS It was my great great grandparents who immigrated from Clausthal to New
York City in 1867.

Of all four parts of my grandparents relatives immigrated to the U.S.A.
of my grandfather Ernst J. Hennige brothers and sisters
of his wife, my grandmother Rosa nee Seiler an aunt, and nephews
of my great grandfather Augustin Stengel three brothers and a sister, they settled (first) in Louisville, Kentucky.
one of the brothers has died there in the age of 19 years with cholera,
the other two brothers get married in Louisville, and some of their descendants are still living there
the sister moved to Atlanta GA.
while my research I found out there were many natives from the village of Stetten bei Haigerloch
Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, who settled in Louisville, KY.
of his daughter-in-law, my grandmother Franziska Kessler Stengel
relatives of her mother settled in PA.
