Yes, but both names LENTZ and LENZ are very often. If the writer of your document
wrote after annoucement, it might have depend on which variation he knew. When
you go back in history the amount of writing variations of names increase. About
1850 the family name should have been already very fixed, but errors in writing
LENTZ with or without T were lightly possible, because of spoken it sounds al-
