Hi,
Does anyone in Aschersleben or the Aschersleben area speak and
communicate in English. I am trying to trace the genology of my
Grandfather who is from that town. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rex
if your major part father comes from ashtray lives, then looks at the
Mormonen, please. The KB of ashtray lives are filmed of 1808 -- 1874.

You really should consider and remark that "ashtray lives" is a pretty
funny - maybe "babelfished" - automatic "translation" of "Aschersleben":
Ascher / Aschenbecher = ashtray; Leben = live(s) ... :-))

Have you checked to see what is available through the LDS Family History
Library? You should have a branch library near you, and you can order any
of the materials that are available in Salt Lake. Some are in English, and
with the help of a German-English dictionary, you can probably figure out
what it says, if they have vital records from Aschersleben. Sometimes they
have been transcribed in English.
