Thanks for all your help. The reason I ask about a census was we seem to have 1 person we thought was a child and now we are told who was not their biological child. Another is to try the narrow the time frame as to when they left Germany for America. Will go back to Osnabruck and go to the Catholic Archives. Any more suggestions? How much information should the town of Ankum, etc. have regarding leaving? Pat
