I am looking for Emigration / Immigration information on my grandfather.
Name: Eilert Gerhard (nickname - Fred/Friedrich) Hoermann . In German it is spelled Hormann, with two dots over the o.
Born: 14 Jan 1857 Obenstrohe, Var., Varel, Friesland, Niedersachsen - The Duchy of Oldenburg, Prussia.
Emigrated to the United States, between 1880 - 1885
Note: the 1885 Census for Nebraska shows he immigrated in 1881, however the 1900 U.S. Census shows 1882.
