Hallo Liste,
I suggest a very optimist Email-projekt. Purpose: make sohehow the
polish-schlesien registers (kirchenbücher) online.
My german ancestors were born in Schlesien: one line is in the former
Österreichisch
Schlesien: there were no problem in the research: the registers are online
from the czech archives.
But my other line are mainly from Kreis Leobschütz, etc.: so from those
territories which are in Poland, and, as I see, it’s not probable that this
registers will be online in the near future.
So, I think, it could be very useful to send (private) mails to
familysearch.org. and explain them, that it is a very special
handicap-situation which affects many researchers who does not lives in
Poland ( the registers are in an other country, so the research is very
difficult, etc.) and ask them to make these registers (as I see, mainly the
Opole Voivodeship?) online.
