I am trying to track
back a female Ehlers with the name: Sophie Christiane Hedwig Ehlers (age not
known) and a man who is related to her, but I don't know in what capacity.
My starting point with the male Ehlers, (I only know him as Conrad Ehlers)
is the English census, from which I've worked out a possible birth year
1829-31, plus I have the names of his children. He married in England, but
the civil marriage records don't give the name of his parents!
I have some Ehlers names given to me by German archivists and I'm hoping
that somebody is following an Ehlers family related to the ones I give below
and I can compare the sibling names of the younger generation to see if
there is a similar naming pattern.
