We have Eckhoff ancesters. One branch settled in Camp Cole, Missouri and
our direct line came to Jersey City New Jersey in the 1880's from Bremen.
They were from Hannover. We have a picture of the house in Fischerhude. 5
came to America and two remained in Fischerhude.

I have records of several Eckhoff families who came to Cole Camp, Mo. One
was from Dipshorn (very close to Fischerhude), one from Gnarrenburg parish
and another from Bremervörde parish. I would be interested in details of
your Eckhoff family.
Did you know that Stefan Eckhoff has a genealogy website. I believe he lives
in Elsdorf.
