Hello fellow researchers,
I have a brick wall; my gr-granduncle, Eckhard Heinrich Joachim Johann HINT-HINDT,
(the church archives stated that the original spelling of the name was HINT, later
changed to HINDT), b. January 25, 1837, Vietow, Mecklenburg, Germany, married a
lady named Joanna/Anna, b. Abt. August 1839, m. Bet. 1866 - 1867, Germany.
The only reference to her surname was on a document in Iowa, where both Eckhard
and Joanna/Anna resided with their two sons, Arthur "Art" Eckhard HINT-HINDT and
Richard Fredrich HINT-HINDT, both born in Hamburg. The document was transcribed
onto website Ancestry® | Family Tree, Genealogy & Family History Records,
wherein, Richard got married. His mother, Joanna/Anna was noted as " LAUKLER, A."
I have searched all around and have come up with zilch on a family named Laukler,
much less an Joanna or Anna LAUKLER.
My cousin was the family member who wrote to the archives for our family history
and I am sure he asked about Eckhard's wife. He has not provided any information
on Anna since.
