I was wondering how to find out if relatives might be still living in East Prussia today.My
gggfather was Christian Schmidt.He married Anna Dorotha Mann in 1862 in Mehlkemen,
Staupoenen in East Prussia.
I do not know Christian Schmidt had brothers or sisters.I know two of his sons came to Texas in late 1800s'.
They where August and Christian came to Texas with thier family.
One son friedrich died in 1840.Then there was a Matthes and Wilhelm
