Drescher family from Prussia Oldenburg

�Hello Lorraine,
their are 2 Oldenburg�s in germany: Oldenburg in Oldenburg which is now in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) and the second is Oldeburg in Holstein which is now in Schleswig-Holstein. You can read about these towns in www.wikipedia.de, search for OLDENBURG. They both must have record offices where you can ask for your husbands ancestors.

I have been told that their are 4 Oldenburg's in Germany.
If that is true do they all have a connection with the place I'm looking

for? Do they all have a Record office of which I could contact to find
out
the correct place for my husbands ancestors? I have gone back as far as

ican in England and now I'm stuck trying to find this place.

None of these has been Prussia at the time in question - Oldenburg never,
Holstein only after 1866.
