Dr. August Fontheim and August Rump

My g-g-g-grandfather August Christian Wilhelm Rump of Leeste was apparently
named for his godfather, Dr. August Wilhelm Christian Fontheim on Syke.
Does anyone know anything further about Dr. A.W.C. Fontheim or Friederich
Rump or Catharina Louise Hahn? August Rump was a ship carpenter and sailor
who came to America about 1867.

Thanks,

Clay

Hi Clay:
The Family History Center at the following URL has some census material
   for Syke.
   [1]http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp
   [2]Gerichtsakten, 1824-1868 Syke (Hannover). Amtsgericht
Leeste is NNE of Syke. They appear to be southern suburbs of Bremmen.
Also Leeste seems to be the same as or part of Wayhe. Since I know
very little German, there may be some other connection.
[3]http://www.castlegarden.org/search Has a lot of Rumps listed for
the period your Rump immigrated, but without a birth date or age it is
difficulte to determine which one is your Rump.
