Your message about the Domarchiv Ratzeburg closing is a big disappointment. I
wrote to them several years ago, and received helpful genealogical data about
my families. (WULF, SCHROEDER, GUSTAVEL, VOSS, NIEMANN, MEIER, WILKE, KINDT).
I realize SCHROEDER is a common name in Germany, but I wanted to mention that
my great-grandmother was Dorothea Marie Elise SCHROEDER, whose family was
from Bentin. She came to America in 1870, with her parents & brothers &
sisters. Her parents were Joachim Heinrich SCHROEDER & Maria Elisabeth
Magdalena WILKE. I am still searching for the ancestry of these families.
