I have some documents pertaining to the HEIN family, from Hamburg, dated
1833. They are from the Christian Church, Ottensen, Schleswig-Holstein,
Prussen.
In these documents the residence is written as Altona h.K. (this could be
h.R.). What does h.K. (or h.R.) stand for?
Also, the father of the groom is mentioned as retired as a total invalid from
the Dragoon Regiment "Voß" (this could be Vo2) who lived rent-free in a small
cottage in Kottwitz near Sagan, in Neider-Schlesien.
What does "Voß" (or Vo2) mean? What is a Dragoon Regiment?
Can you tell me anything about Kottwitz?
