The PRITZ and DITTMAR families.
I don't understand why on different census records Freidrich "Peter" Dittmar
listed his birth place differently, perhaps due to border changes. I have
him listing his birthplace as Anspach, Pruessen and Nassau. Possibly these
are the same? He was born Sept. 6, 1829. His Father was Johann Peter Kraus
Dittmar born 1808. Peter was married to Katherina Elisabeth Pritz born
April 21, 1836. They immigrated to America in 1866 with one daughter
Lisette born Oct 21 1864 in Ansbach, Amt. Usingen Reg. Bezkirk, Weisbaden
Pruessen. They had 9 children die in Germany. They were Lutheran and he may
have been a Minister.
