Diskussion um die Meinungsfreiheit und "braunesGedankengut"

April - if you know when they came over, can you not find their
papers? Did they take a homestead? Did he have a trade? where did
they settle? Is there a heritage book about the town they settled in?
Did they become Canadian citizens? I don't want the answers to these
questions, I just want to give you some place to start searching to
find out where in Germany they came from.

Muriel

I've covered most of those trails Muriel, but thanks for the ideas...April.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Julius Ohlendorf (* 02.19.1845 in Kauschen, Krs. Insterburg, Ostpr.;
+ 1921 in Plattupnen (Plattopoinen?), Krs. Labiau, Ostpr. Das ist der lteste Vorfahr, den ich bisher gefunden habe (neues Hobby
seit einigen Tagen). Dessen Ehefrau war die Amalie Simoneit (* 20.08.1830 in Plattupnen, + 20.08.1922 ebenda)

Deren einziger Sohn war Franz-August Ohlendorf (* 28.03.1867 in Pannaugen (Kreis Labiau), + 1945 auf der Flucht in Pommern.
Die Ehefrau des Franz-August war Luise Kirstein (* 03.01.1882 in Bittkallen und + 1962 oder 1982 in Wittlich).

Luises Eltern waren Gottlieb Kirstein (* 22.11.1846 Bittkallen, + 15.01.1929) und Helene Laschat (* 14.05.1858 in Bittkallen, + 12.02.1933 in Bittehnen/Biehnendorf)

Nun meine Frage:

Kennt jemand diese Namen
- Ohlendorf
- Kirstein
- Simoneit
- Laschat

im Zusammenhang mit den ostpreussischen Orten
- Liebenfelde (dort lebte Franz-August Ohlendorf und zeugte 9 Kinder)
- Pannaugen
- Bittkallen
- Plattupnen
- Kauschen
- Bittehnen (Biehnendorf)?

Bis auf Kauschen (Kreis Insterburg) mssten alle anderen Orte im Kreis Labiau liegen.

Bin fr jeden Hinweis (auch die Geschichte der Orte wre interessant) dankbar.

Viele Gre

Markus

May I get back to you tomorrow Markus? I have
the surname Ohlendorf from Gross Wannaglauken,
Kreis Niederung, Ost Preuen in my Obschernings
Family Tree.

Robert Lipprandt

Hallo Robert,

I am just thinking about what you want me to write in "Die Elchniederung",the
little newspaper that comes two times a year to all people of the former Kreis
Elchniederung.I had promised to you to publish a little announcement.

Please write to me what is the most important to know for you, what you want the
people to ask. -But only in a few sentences.

It soon will be time for the next issue that will come out in December.

Best wishes
Gaby

PS: still one question. You write about Ohlendorf in Gr.Wannaglauken. Would
you be so kind to give me the dates? I do not remember to have them.

Hallo Markus,

im Ostpreuenblatt Nr.3/2001 ist Herbert Ohlendorf *14.4.1927 in Hohenbruch
Kr.Labiau erwhnt.

Kermoschienen.

Let me ask quickly. Can this be a listing of
surnames or a short, directed question of
a particular subject?

Yes, Ohlendorf. This would be Erna (do not
know of middle names) geb. Ohlendorf, Rudau.
Birth was January 14, 1911, Gross-Wannaglauken,
Kreis Niederung, Ost Preuen.

She had two sisters, they did not marry and both
died in the 1950's. I do not have the fathers or
mothers name.

Erna married my mothers brother, Albert Rudau
June 03 1933, Kellmeinen, Kreis Tilsit, Ost Preuen.
They had one son Heinz, born January 21, 1939
in Arfliess, Kreis Kellen (?), Ost Preuen.

As for my mother having the name Obschernings
and her brother having the name Rudau, Albert
was adopted by a sister of my grandmother because
they had no children and therefore did not have
anyone to turn the farm over when they died.

This week I will begin on the Skaisgirren
postal photographs.

Hallo Robert,

sorry for my last mail. I wanted to send it directly to you, but I slept and
gave it over the list...

Please for "Die Elchniederung" not only a list of names. You know, the more
concretely you ask (with place and date etc) the more concrete will be a
possible answer. Its no good to ask: who knows something about the family
Obscherning in Kreis Elchniederung. Better: My father or grandfather or ...
lived in ....He emigrated in the year to America.Who knows anything about his
father or his ancestors ?

Its no problem for me to write some sentences for you. But the point is that I
do not know what to ask, what is the most important to you. Icannot write a
whole side. it has to be short, but a little bit interesting,

Best wishes
Gaby
