Meyer is one of the most common names in Germany. It is hard to know if
there is a connection or not.
My Meyer family originated in Mecklenburg - where did your's come from?

I don't know if he could be an uncle or a father or cousin. I don't

anything on her parents. She married into the family when she
married Gip.
