I am trying to find information on my 3rd Great Grandparents I would like to
find out parents names and if they had any brothers and sisters.
Michael Dill is believed to have been born 5 Jun 1809 in Dettelbach he
married Barbara Fischer born 1812 in Schnepfenbach. We believe they were
married abt 1836 in Dettelbach based on first child Maria being born in
1837.
Maria was the only child born in Bavaria they are believed to have arrived
in New York USA on Sep 16 1837. They may have stayed with relative in the
area until 10 Dec 1841 when he bought land in Ohio.
Any information on this family would definitely be appreciated my brother
has been looking for their home town for over five years and I joined in the
search 2yrs ago. He accidentally found Michaels home town listed in an old
news paper article on pioneers in our area.
