Yes I have.

I am tring to find where Schmidts and Manns may have come from.

Most of Manns came from Westerwald - Nassau.
Schmidt in Ehmer - Kartei are too much. Do You have some first names?

All I know is that they may have settled in Gumbinnen the village.I have frist name of kid

  born in 1766 his name was Christian.I can not find his fathers name any where.

here are the results for Gumbinnen:
- Schmidt, Gottfried - Riemer (he produced straps) - 13.08.1730 - new
citizen in Gumbinnen
- Schmidt, Johann - tailor from Nassau - 09.10.1738 - new citizen in
Gumbinnen
- Schmidt, Johann Jost jun.- 1723 in Gumbinnen, from Nassau - 1736
farmer in Gro� Degesen Amt Budweitschen, 1 Hufe - 1728 witteb - children
1734 (son), 1740, 1746

Thats all about Gumbinnen. Hope to find the father of Christian.
