Hello All,
At the baptism of 2 of his children at a German Lutheran church in London in the 1870's
the parish register entry states that my great great grandfather (Frederick Sander) was from Densen in the province of Hannover. I cannot find a place called Densen - could it be Dehnsen? Does anyone know anything about this town/village?
Sarah
Hallo Sarah,
perhaps a part of Alfeld near Hannover:

Try DEENSEN
What was the Name of your ancestry?
Hi Sarah,
Not that this is all that helpful, but there are many possible names.
There is Dehnsen near Alfeld(Leine). In that same area near Eime are the
towns of Dunsen and Deinsen. Northeast of Wildeshausen in a Dünsen.
There are 11 Sander names in the German phonebook in the Alfeld area
(including Dehnsen) and 4 Sander in Eime (which would include Dunsen and
Deinsen). There is only one Sanders (including the s) in Dünsen. With that
common name, you will probably need better clues!
