Yes, Verna Drake has done a wonderful job of researching "her" branch of the
Degener family. Her branch and mine are related. Her Degeners settled in
Randolph County and mine settled in Cook/DuPage County. Verna and I have
corresponded over the years. I am sure she would be happy to hear from you. We have
not been in touch since the first of the year. Her husband suffered a stroke
last year and I know that has taken a great deal of her time. Drop her an
