I am rather new at this genealogy game via the internet. I just recently got
a computer. Before that everything I did was via letters etc.

Where did you find the census? 1852 is too late for me but do you know if
there is a pre 1840 census? Did you have to know the home town or did you just
check the Amt Hoya?

You may have to click around to find what you want.

Others on the list may have info on other census'.

I think Amt is kinda like a township, possibly county.
