Hello Mrs. Dasenbrock,
on familysearch I found the marriage Dasenbrock - Dörger at 17 MAY 1846 at Hamilton, OH, USA. On the same page I saw the tree of this couple with the children Ferdinand F., Catherine, Henry, John, Anna, Frank, Wilhelmina, Clemens and Helene, all born in Effingham, IL, a region with many people with roots in Oldenburg. I think your ancestors were Roman Catholics. Than the must have come from the southern part of Oldenburg. Because of the names Dasenbrock and Dörger (Doerger) I think they could be born in the parish Goldenstedt. Therefore I sent a copy of this email to Dr. Hoffmann our specialist for the parish records of Goldenstedt.
I would be proud to present the Dasenbrock - Doerger family with their children on our page www.auswanderer-oldenburg.de.
Best regards,
Gunter Jüchter

I am looking for information on the Bernard Dasenbrock family. I know that
he was born in 1802 in Oldenburg Germany. He came to the United States at
some point in time. I have all the United States info, but no info from
Germany. Bernard was married to an Anna Doerger who was born in Oct. 1825
in Oldenburg, Germany.
Thank you,
Brenda Dasenbrock

Hello Mrs. Dasenbrock, hallo Herr Jchter,
many thanks for your mails concerning the Dahsenbrock (Dasenbrock,Dahsenbrok or Dasenbrok)family. Indeed there are many Dahsenbrocks living in the village of Goldenstedt, south of Oldenburg city. Unfortunately I Couldn't find Bernard Dasenbrock in the birth register of the church St. Gorgonius in Goldenstedt. In fact, Bernard could be baptized in the church of Colnrade. Unfortunately I couldn't search in Colnrade, so I haven't the possible dates. Anna Drger I couldn't find as well. Sorry, that I couldn't give you a better result.
With best regards
Gerd Hoffmann
I belive, the origin of Dasenbrock is Visbek.
The "Personenschatzungsregister" (tax register) listed in the year 1661:
Parish Visbek - Brinksitzer (owner of a small house):
- Dassenbrock Man, 12 schilling
Fraw (wife), 6 schilling
Sohn (son), 3 schilling
